It’s the 40th birthday of the Rubik’s Cube!

The Rubik’s Cube was created in 1974 by Erno Rubik. It’s reportedly the bestselling puzzle toy in history and roughly one out of every eight people on the planet have tried to solve one at least once.

There are 43 quintillion ways to scramble a Rubik’s Cube.
