KRAWKOW, POLAND – Another city has cancelled its bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympic games. Krawkow follows Stockholm, Munich and St. Moritz, Switzerland all semi-recently scrapping their appeals too.
Of the cities left, Oslo, Norway is probably going to be out soon, and Lviv, Ukraine doesn’t really sound like a win either. That leaves Almaty, Kazakhstan and Beijing
The lack of interest apparently has to do with the huge investment and relatively little return. Folks think building a lot of brand new stuff that’s barely touched is a waste of money.
We hope the Olympics find a good home. Who knows, maybe the U.S. will meddle.
