WAUKESHA, WI – Ever heard of the Slender Man? A mythological creature known by his featureless face, lanky body and black suit and tie. The Slender Man appears in photographs ready to abduct and terrorize people. Especially children. Even more frightening, the future for three pre-teens from Wisconsin.

12-year-olds, Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser are charged, as adults, for almost killing their 12-year-old friend. Attorney’s say they stabbed the girl 19 times with a 5-inch blade. A task Weier and Geyser planned for months. Somehow, miraculously, the victim survived. Weier and Geyser say they wanted to kill their friend and take her body to the Slender Man’s mansion located in Northern Wisconsin. Parents and lawyers couldn’t believe their ears.

It’s time to set the record straight. The Slender Man legend is not real. Its origin began on the web in 2009 from a contest on somethingawful.com. The site asked users to Photoshop images of the paranormal into real life photos. User Victor Surge submitted photo’s including the Slender Man and the international sensation was born.

So, all of the photo’s are fake. Parents please talk your children, take an active role. The tragedy surrounding the lives of these 3 little girls could have been avoided.
