WASHINGTON, DC – Beaten and bruised, thrown into box like a caged animal. That’s what U.S. Army soldier, Bowe Bergdhal, says the Taliban did to him when he was captured in Afghanistan.

And coming to the defense of the trade of five Taliban members for Bergdhal is Secretary of State, John Kerry.

Kerry says, “I’m not telling you that they don’t have some ability at some point to go back and get involved, but they also have the ability to get killed doing that.”

Kerry claims the American government will still keep an eye on the five Taliban members.

Berghal is now recovering at a U.S. Military hospital in Germany.

Still to be answered; was Bergdhal a patriot, or a deserter?
