MANCHESTER, TN – It seems a Tennessee man has seen “Silence of the Lambs” a few too many times.

37-year-old Gregory Scott Hale has admitted to killing Lisa Marie Hyder, and then dismembering and eating part of her body.

Friends and neighbors are stunned at the confession.

Hale even managed to sit down for a nice home-cooked meal at a friend’s house just a day after the murder.

“He sat at their kitchen table Saturday night and ate supper with them like nothing was wrong,” a neighbor said.

But something was wrong. So, so wrong.

Authorities say the alleged murder happened at the home Hale shares with his parents.

The victim’s six children are now left without a mother, and citizens in Manchester are wondering how this could happen in their small town.

The accused cannibal is in jail on $1.5 million bond, while his coworkers at a local meat processing plant are now saying he used to bring home the eyes and bones of animals.

OK, come on, people — did that not strike anyone as a red flag?
