AUSTIN, TX – Things are getting real expensive, that is, for Whole Foods Market.

The grocery chain is paying the price for over-charging customers; we’re talking $800,000 in penalties and fees for the grocery chain to pony up.

Inspectors in California conducted a year-long investigation and found the store charging more than the advertised price for several food items.

They also found the store wasn’t deducting the weight of containers for self-serve foods at salad and hot bars.

No doubt this money mess has customers wholeheartedly thinking twice about where to shop.
