KATY, TX – 34 of the 36 injured in the religious celebration that turned into chaos are out of Houston area hospitals. What still remains, the shock in the neighborhood of Park Mill Lane in Katy after the second-floor garage apartment broke sending party-goers crashing to the ground.

There were 150 people at the event. The streets of Katy were filled with the injured; others had to be rescued from the rubble.

A day after the crash the Harris County Fire Marshal released a statement saying the structure collapsed due to overload. It was a floor designed to hold the weight of only six. Sending a warning to all to be careful of gatherings in makeshift places. Overload can become serious.
