HOUSTON, TX – A convenience store on FM-1960 near Greenwood Forest was not so convenient after all for one man.

Harris County Sheriff’s Lt. William Gray says, “We found that this subject had entered the store, was apparently intoxicated, had turned some things over in the store.”

When the manager told the man to leave, he only got as far as the parking lot.

“The manager believed what he saw was a sharp object or a box cutter that the subject had, and made a move toward him,” Lt. Gray stated.

That’s when the manager pulled out a gun and shot the man one time in the stomach.  He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay.  No word if the manager will face any charges.
