CHENNAI, INDIA – Crumbling construction is having deadly consequences in India.

Two different buildings — in two different cities, New Delhi and Chennai, collapsed during monsoon rains that swept through the country.

In New Delhi, at least 10 people were killed.

And in Chennai, at least nine people.

more than a hundred others are believed to still be trapped underneath the rubble in southern India.

Rescuers were able to free at least 26 of the trapped construction workers in Chennai.

Still no word on whether heavy rain caused both collapses, or what else might have contributed.

Either way — things are falling apart in India.

Let’s just hope they can pick up the pieces.
