NEW YORK, NY – During an interview with CNN’s Fredericka Whitfield, comedian Joan Rivers, who is promoting her new book, Diary of A Mad Diva, stormed out.

Before that Whitfield had asked the ‘Fashion Police’ host about how she was wearing fur on the cover of her new book. That’s when the 81-yr-old comedian went off on a tirade.

“I made people laugh for 50 years. I am put on earth to make people laugh. My book is funny! I wear fur that was killed 15 years ago. I work for animal rights-stop it with — you do this and you’re mean. And you are not the one to interview a person who does humor! Sorry!”

And she never came back.

Since the book’s release, Rivers has been criticized by animal rights groups.

Protesters made headlines for showing up to a book signing last week in New York.
