New App Lets You Rate Your Coworkers

What’s APP-ening?! There’s a new app that allows you to rate your coworkers. It’s called Knozen and is laid out like the popular dating app “Hot or Not”.

It asks you to rate your colleagues based on their performance and personality. And then it pits people against one another, thankfully in an anonymous fashion, by asking questions like: “Who is more likely to leave work early for a date?” or “Who would pack for a trip way in advance?”

Before you can start getting your nose in everyone’s business on Knozen, you have to have at least seven co-workers sign up. Then you can log on and see your own scores and what colleagues have said about you.

Knozen was developed by New York-based Marc Cenedella.

He says it’s used to “better understand how you fit in with other people at work”.

The free app is available on iTunes.

I’m sorry but people who use “Knozen” are just “Jonesin” for conflict. This screams HR nightmare. Business is already cut-throat as it is, now you don’t need to feel like you’re getting stabbed in the back by a coworker. And you can’t tell me this won’t affect your work performance, if you’re so worried about what people are rating you. Call me crazy but let’s not worry about rating others and rate ourselves. Focus not on an app but our own work. That’s what will be more successful. So when it comes to Knozen, I think it’s APP-solutely ridiculous.

And that’s today’s helping of The Online Dish with Maggie.
