Texas cities among the most patriotic in the nation

SANTA MONICA, CA – Can you feel it? Patriotism beats strong in the heart of Texas. Not just a 4th of July thing, but a year-round celebration and the stats are here to prove it.

MyLife.com has ranked Texas as the most “red, white and blue” state in the nation, with five cities among the top ten most proudly American towns.

Houston is number 10, El Paso is number 8, Fort Worth is number 4, Austin number 3 and San Antonio is number two.

Way to go, Texas!

San Diego came in first place.

What variables were taken into consideration for the ranking?

Percentage of population in the armed forces, total spending on veterans, popularity of fireworks in July and community and social service workers.

So, now you know: eating burgers, watching baseball games and driving a car made at home is not enough. To be a real patriotic American you gotta live in Texas.
