CLEVELAND, OH – Four years ago, Lebron James was seen as a traitor when he left the Cleveland Cavaliers to play basketball for the Miami Heat. Fans of the Cavs are welcoming King James with open arms and all seems forgiven as James has decided to take his skills back to the shores of Lake Erie and play for the Cavs.
One Cleveland fans says, “We were driving away when we heard the news and turned right back around , came downtown blasting ‘We’re Coming Home’ This city is ready for the king to come home.Let’s go!”
The dominoes of NBA free agency should start falling after James’ decision. Chris Bosh, who was part of the Big 3 in Miami with James, may also decide to leave South Beach. He is mulling over an offer by the Houston Rockets that would pay him around $88 million over four years.
The Rockets are hoping to sign Bosh and then match the Dallas Mavericks offer sheet of 3 years, $45 million to small forward Chandler Parsons. The Rockets cleared some space in their salary cap situation by trading Jeremy Lin and his $15 million salary to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Houston will have to match the Mavericks’ offer to Parson by Sunday or else Parson will be packing his bags to play in Dallas.
As the dominoes continue to fall, fans in Ohio are just happy that James proved that you can go home again.
