House explodes in Willis, Texas sending three family members to the hospital

WILLIS, TX – Residents of Willis, woke up at 5 am to the sound of a huge blast. Those who ventured out into the morning to see if they could help, found their neighbors home leveled to the ground.

All three adults that were in the home were taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. According to neighbors the victims are a married couple, living in the home for only 6 months and the wife’s visiting brother. One began the day in critical condition, one in serious condition and the third in fair condition. An investigation of what caused the blast is underway.

The family also lived with seven pet dogs. As of now, five have been found in good condition and are in the care of neighbors. A home reduced to ashes, while a neighborhood picks up the pieces.
