FRAMINGHAM, MA – In the war of the headphones, Bose wants to cancel out the noise made by Beats, suing Beats for patent infringement over noise-cancelling technology.

Hip Hop king and Beats founder Dr. Dre recently agreed to sell his company to Apple for more than 3 billion dollars so the lawsuit will be aimed at Apple.

In the lawsuit, Bose claims Beats infringed on 36 patents and pending applications covering 50 years of their research and development.
