Houston ranked fourth-fastest city to sell a house

HOUSTON, Texas – Sold, sold, sold!  Not enough houses on the market.  A betting war.  The plight of home-buyers in Houston could make for a great musical.

Or for a “Hunger Games”-style reality show, with families competing for a piece of land and a bunch of bricks, zoned to a good school, on a quiet street, near highways and with resale value, of course. ZipRealty Inc., a California-based real estate brokerage, ranked Houston as the fourth-fastest-moving market in the nation.

“We have multi-million dollars companies moving to Houston, corporations moving their headquarters to Houston, because our prices are competitive compared to other major cities” – explained Stephanie Aaron-Weiss, broker associate with John Daugherty Realtors.
