ABILENE, TX - There's nothing like a free meal, especially when it catches you by complete surprise.

Eighty-eight Chick-Fil-A customers in Abilene, Texas were in for a big surprise when one man randomly dished out $1,000 bucks to pay for their meals.

Employees say the mystery guy drove up and placed his order like normal, so they definitely weren't expecting his grand gesture.

His generous donation helped pay for people's meals for an hour.

Why'd he do it?

He just wanted to make someone's day.

One thing's for sure. Even if no one ever finds out who this guy is, then this is definitely what you call paying it forward.
