CLAYTON COUNTY, Georgia -- Here's something you don't expect to hear everyday.

A school bus crashed into a home in Georgia after a car veered into the center lane, causing it to swerve off the road.

The bus hit a mailbox, a bush, then crashed into Barbara Essinger's home while she was laying on the couch.

"I landed about here and that picture frame landed right there...I thought it was an explosion and we got the aftershock."

Even though the accident did some major damage to the home, the driver's split-second decision may have been life-saving.

Tom Essinger says, "She had two choices either come towards us or go over into the park and the park was crammed full of kids so she chose properly."

Good news is: there were no students on the bus and no one was hurt.
