HOUSTON, Tx. -- Who doesn't like the idea of a free lunch?

Neighborhood Centers' Promise Community School is offering free lunch and breakfast to the children for the whole school year.

Deanna Belleny, the dietician with Promise Community Schools, said, "Having that cost eliminated for every single student is definitely making a huge financial impact for our families. They focus on fresh foods, whole grains, and more homemade items rather than getting stuff that is already prepackaged."

It's all a part of the Community Eligibility Provision. The idea is to reduce the burden on families while still making sure kids receive proper meals.
