HOUSTON, Tx. — The Houston Rockets are about to have liftoff. With training camp starting Tuesday, ‘Ready’ doesn’t even begin to describe these guys.

Rockets center Dwight Howard said, “Basketball season is here again….I know for myself, I have to go out there and play as hard as I can and know that my teammates are going to do the same thing.”

Howard’s teammate James Harden said, “You know it’s going to be a long season. Things are going to go right all the time so as long as we got that mindset that no matter what goes on, we’re going to win a championship, we’re going to be good.”

Rockets Media Day wasn’t just business, as players danced for the camera and Howard was up to his normal tricks, donning a Superman cape.

But all fun aside, the Rockets know where their team needs the most work.

Coach Kevin McHale said, “We had a lot of offensive minded guys…We have to be better when things aren’t going good offensively and I thought last year when things didn’t go good offensively we didn’t have that digging that we needed to have to get better defensively.”

Most of the players have the mentality that the past is in the past. They just plan to use the past only as motivation for winning this season.

Hopefully ‘Clutch City’ can clutch onto a winning season.
