WILDOMAR, Ca---  You often hear mothers say they want to cherish every moment with their baby. But, for twenty four year old Ashley Bridges, time is running out. At just ten weeks pregnant, Ashley got devastating news---she had bone cancer. Doctors recommended chemotherapy immediately. But it would cost her big time---the termination of her pregnancy. So Ashley declined lifesaving cancer treatment so her baby could live.

At eight months pregnant, Ashley received more shattering news. Since Ashley declined chemotherapy, the cancer had spread. Doctors told her she had no choice, but to deliver her baby and start treatment.

Ashley gave birth to a healthy baby girl, but after multiple rounds of chemotherapy--it was just too late.
Doctors gave her less than a year to live. Through it all. Ashley has found the silver lining in such a dark time by saying "She's like my little sunshine in this like, nightmare. Maybe I'm not supposed to be here and she is."
