HOUSTON, Tx. -- Former Houston Dynamo forward Brian Ching hosted his annual Ching’s Champions shopping spree at the Kroger located at 1035 North Shepherd Drive.

The Ching’s Champions campaign, presented by Kroger, will recognize five Houston area residents who have exhibited “Champion” spirit while defying personal obstacles or enriching the lives of others in the community. The winners, nominated by fans through an online nomination process, will have a four-minute shopping spree.

Ching, along with Dynamo midfielder Giles Barnes, defenders Eric Brunner and Anthony Arena, goalkeeper Michael Lisch and Houston Dash midfielder Brittany Bock will lead the winners on the shopping sprees and provide coaching and assistance.  The shopping sprees will each be 250 seconds (just over 4 minutes) in honor of Brian Ching’s former jersey number (25). Ching’s Champions will also be honored with a medal ceremony to begin the event.
