Denver Police Warn Parents about Pot-Laced Halloween Candy

It’s almost Halloween. Kids are getting their costumes ready to go Trick-or-Treating. But before they head out on the Denver streets, police are warning parents some might trick kids into eating a marijuana treat.

Police have posted a PSA warning parents about the difference between actual candy and edibles.

The owner of a pot dispensary says it’s easy to get tricked because the candies look so similar.

His recommendation? Trash any candy that isn’t sealed in a recognizable, brand-name wrapper.

So if your kiddos trick-or-treat in the Mile High City, make sure the only high they get is from sugar!
