WESTPORT, Connecticut -- After all the pomp and circumstance, the wedding reception is usually the highlight of any newlywed's big day.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for a couple who planned their reception at The Inn at Longshore, in Westport, Connecticut.

An extra guest didn't show up to the love-fest to offer his congratulations, but instead showed up to take the couple's gifts.

Police don't know who the man is, despite having surveillance video from the hotel lobby, but they do know he made off with a birdcage full of cash-stuffed envelopes.

Hopefully someone fingers the wedding crasher soon, and gives the love-birds back the wedding gifts they deserve, and the happily ever after that every couple hopes for.
