October 17: In 2009, a clump of hair cut from Elvis when he went into the military sells for  $15,000.  Study back in 2005, researchers figured average American spends $42,000 during a lifetime (this figures cost of equipment, concert tickets and other variables). In 1985, a-ha has number one hit with "Take on Me."
