HAWLEY, Pennsylvania – Just in time for Halloween comes word of the capture of the Pennsylvania Boogeyman, Eric Frien.

Investigators say Frien ambushed two state police officers last month, killing Corporal Bryon Dickson.

The self-proclaimed survivalist then led authorities on a 48-day search through the Pennsylvania mountains.

Except for the occasional cache of weapons and supplies, police came up empty-handed, until Thursday, when cops busted him at an abandoned airport about 40 miles from where corporal Dickson died. Cops put Dickson’s handcuffs on Frien before putting him Dickson’s patrol car for his trip to jail.

Authorities will charge him with first-degree murder; homicide of a law enforcement officer; attempted murder in the first degree; and other offenses.
