PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania - An Ivy League University is offering a college class named "wasting time on the internet."
Presumably as part of their major in laziness, the department of English at University of Pennsylvania is offering this class for the spring 2015 semester. Students will be required to spend hours browsing around, clicking, liking, chatting and status-updating.
Believe it or not, this class has a purpose. After burning time, energy and neurons in front of the computer, students are expected to write creative, compelling material about the digital world we live in.
So, now you know that a silly cat video, a dumb fail or just home-made port will be all you need to start writing your next great American novel.
