HOUSTON, Texas - Just over a year ago, Chelsea Norman was coming home from her job at Whole Foods, riding her bicycle on Waugh, when she was hit by a car and left to die.

The trial for Margaret Renee Mayer is scheduled to begin Monday. She stands accused of failing to stop and render aid, resulting in Chelsea`s death.

Cyclists from around Houston gathered at Whole Foods on Waugh to show support for the Norman family, and to show support for justice during the upcoming legal proceedings.

The City of Houston has partnered with BikeHouston to bring cycling safety to the forefront, so that a memorial ride like this one is the last of its kind.
