HOUSTON, Texas - It's hard to imagine what would drive a person to kill, but imagine what investigators must have thought in February when Corriann Cervantes' body was found in a vacant apartment.

She was found with an upside down cross carved into her stomach.

Authorities say Cervantes was beaten with a porcelain toilet tank lid and was stabbed more than 60 times with a screwdriver.

Prosecutors say teens kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and killed Cervantes because they wanted to sell their souls to the devil.

The trial for one of the teens, Jose E. Reyes, has already started and if Reyes is convicted, he faces an automatic life sentence.
