STAFFORD, TX  - What should have been a simple day of shopping turned into a  violent episode ending with one man dead. It happened along West Airport near the Southwest Freeway.

Police say it all started when a family got into an argument with three people inside the Stafford Walmart. When the family was leaving the store they were confronted by the suspects and that's when the victim's son called his dad over for help.

Things then spiraled out of control.

Police say 19-year-old Antonio De La Cruz pulled out a gun and shot the father, 35-year old Christhian Eduardo Cardoza. Cardoza was taken to an area hospital where he died.

Police are now looking for De La Cruz and are working to identify the two other suspects. Police say they got away in a 1995 gray Toyota Corolla with the license plate number BRY1519.
