December 17:  In 2000, it was erroneously reported that Eminem had died. On this day in 2004, Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis, sold the Presley estate to Robert Silverman for $100 million. He got the rights to the Elvis name and all movie/music royalties while she kept the house, Graceland. Adele in 2012 named Billboard's top artist of the year.
