Patrol officers responded to an apartment complex on Fondren after maintenance personnel reported a foul odor from  the apartment.

Investigation determined Anastacia and her son, Achilles Lambert, 11 months, lived in the apartment.  Baby Achilles was missing and investigators released an Amber Alert for information leading to the whereabouts of the baby and his father, Patrick Lambert.

On December 12, through the combined, tireless efforts of the HPD Homicide Division, personnel in the Houston and Mexico offices of the FBI, and the Harris County District Attorney’s Special Crimes Division, Achilles Lambert was located in Queretaro, Mexico, where he had been abandoned by his father.  Patrick Lambert was also taken into custody at a separate location in Mexico.

Patrick Lambert arrived in Houston the morning of December 17 with Mexican immigration officials, was questioned by HPD investigators and subsequently charged with his wife’s murder.  Lambert was not cooperative with investigators.

Baby Achilles remains in the custody of child services officials in Mexico and multiple agencies are coordinating his return to Houston at a later date.
