Father surrenders after taking hostage at Tomball Regional Medical Center

TOMBALL, Tx - After a nearly four-hour incident, a man barricaded inside a hospital room with his son at Tomball Regional Medical Center has surrendered to police, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.  The son was a patient at the hospital.

It was unclear at the outset if the man was armed or not.

The incident began at 7:00 p.m.  The hospital is no longer under lock-down procedures and there were no injuries at the hospital.
