AUSTIN, Texas - After 14 years of leadership and a few "oops" moments, the time for Texas Governor Rick Perry to say goodbye has come.

Rumor has it, the governor might be wearing his stylish black-framed glasses for the official portrait.  Smart move, right?  Whether or not this is true, the issue has both republicans and democrats in the Texas Capitol arguing about what really matters: fashion.

Political legacy is in the eye of the beholder.  Although, if Governor Perry wants to portray himself as a visionary: why not wear Google Glasses instead?  A true conservative would choose a monocle.  Just kidding.  A peace-maker would go with John Lennon-style.  And the day will come when Elton John could be an option for a Texas governor.

So, Mr. Perry may retire or run once again for President of the United State.  Time will tell, but 20/20 hindsight shows it's been real interesting.
