HOUSTON – The "Souper Bowl of Caring" kicked off today. It is a fundraising effort for the Houston Foodbank that obviously corresponds with the football season.

The campaign makes it super easy for you to get involved and give back.

“You go to any HEB, Randalls or Kroger, you buy the bag, pay for it and then drop it off in the red barrel, and that's going to be picked up by an area pantry serving families in need,” says Brian Greene, President and CEO of Houston Food Bank.

You can also make donations at the register.

“[With] every dollar that we spend, we are to able generate or distribute about $6 worth of food,” says Greene.
