LONDON, England -- Eleven years ago, Britain sent the "Beagle 2" Spacecraft to search for signs of life on Mars and it was supposed to land on the red planet Christmas Day, in 2003.

However, on December 19 of that year, it dropped off radar and was officially declared lost in January 2004.

Fast forward to January 15, 2014 when the UK Space Agency says it will give an 'update' on the missing spacecraft Friday January 16.

The hope is that tthe probe has been re-deiscovered.
