NEW YORK, NY -- We gather here today to say goodbye to a dear friend and the king of political satire. During Tuesday's taping of "The Daily Show," host Jon Stewart dropped a bomb saying he's bowing out of the position by year's end.
The show, and host, have changed quite a bit since 1999 when Stewart became captain of the ship. He unapologetically took on the traditional news media and politicians alike.
All we know for sure, is his replacement will have some big shoes to fill.
