SPRING, TX - She almost lost both her legs during a horrific car accident in 2006. Nine years later, Lin Lockamy from Spring is telling the world she's still standing.

Alone in her SUV, Lin survived a crash, but getting her out of the mangled vehicle was  a whole other story. Lin says, "My legs were crushed, but one of the Lin crashankles was trapped inside metal in a different area and they couldn't get it released. They decided they were going to take my legs in order to get me out."

Before EMT's had to resort to those desperate measures, they were able to free Lin and fly her to the hospital where she received even more bad news. She was told she would never be able to walk again, but Lin proved them all wrong.

Lin FinishIn 2009, threee years after she almost lost both legs, Lin crossed the Aramco Houston Half Marathon finish line on her own two feet. If that wasn't enough, this survivor wrote a book entitled "Grace By Which I Stand" where she describes her determination, spiritual growth and the medical professionalism that helped her go the distance.

Above all, Lin claims it was her own faith that caused her to never give up.
