HOUSTON, Tx. - Police need your help. There were two drive-by shootings, one at 7:30 pm and several hours later, another at 1:00 am and HPD thinks they're connected. Both of them happened in southwest Houston with one being deadly and the other wasn't, but apparently, a dark-colored SUV possibly a Jeep Cherokee, was reported in each incident.
The 7:30 pm shooting happened on Twin Hills Drive near Braescreek. Police say a 34-year-old man was gunned down as he was walking down the street. The dark SUV pulled up, someone inside fired several shots, and then the vehicle sped off. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Then, at 1:00 am, police say a 50-year-old man was waiting at a Metro bus stop in the 8500 block of Bissonnet when he was shot in a drive-by. The man told police that all he can remember is that shots were fired by someone inside a dark-colored SUV. He was also rushed to the hospital, and luckily for him, he's expected to survive.
