CHICAGO, IL. -- "I just want my dog back."

On Wednesday, a doggie daycare van in Chicago —which was left unattended and running—was stolen by two armed men who brushed-off another guy to get away with the ride, while at least six pets were in the back.

"I got a text from my wife saying that our dog had been kidnapped. And I couldn't comprehend what that meant," said pet owner Tad Tomita.

Needless to say, it was a 'ruff' night for the poor pooch owners, but earlier today, the dogs were found safe and sound!  Police discovered the abandoned 2002 Chrysler with the dogs in the back. While the investigation is underway, the pups and their peeps have reunited.

Now that's a treat.
