HOUSTON, TX - The Western heritage flowed throughout downtown Houston on Saturday with the Downtown Rodeo Parade.
Thousands of fans filled the streets to watch as floats, horseback riders and maching bands paraded through the streets.
"I like to see the kids out here and they like to see all the animals and the floats and the music," one of the spectators, Donavon Busta, said. "It's kind of like the beginning of spring."
"I came down here a lot as a kid. It's great memories that I want to recreate with my new family," Jenny Tanous added. "It's really important to keep those memories going and try to instill in your kids what all is great about this great city we live in."
The parade has been held every year since 1938.
