HOUSTON – Clint Cannon is a Houston-born cowboy competing in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. We caught up with the hometown cowboy the other day. He lives in Waller now, and he's pretty much living the dream.

“I's a real cool feeling, because all my family and friends can come watch, he said of performing in Houston, “They see me on one of the biggest stages in the world, in front of 60 thousand plus people.”

Of course, Cannon says rodeo life isn't easy. The former division one football player admits the physical beating and mental stamina is tough. But he wouldn't have it any other way, and the experiences have taught him a lot.

“I think rodeo has taught me to be humble and never quit trying, never give up... because if you give up in rodeo you get hurt.”

Safe to say this cowboy is having a good ride. And he's doing well at the rodeo too.
