GREENSBURG, PA – The Easter Bunny at Westmoreland Mall was fired after it was discovered that he was convicted as a Megan’s Law violent child sex offender.

"My case -- it revolved around having consensual sex when I was a teenager myself, with another teenager," says Michael Paul Jacobs.

Jacobs was reportedly convicted in two different cases of having sex with a 15-year-old girl when he was 19. He says he never hid his convictions, but they just didn't come up.

For their part, a Westmoreland Mall spokesperson said a photography company leases space to take Easter photos, and "it is regrettable that one of their local employees failed to follow their stringent background screening procedures."

Jacobs is now out of work.
