SALADO, TX - A highway accident 50 miles outside Austin leaves one driver dead and at least three people injured.  It could have been worse.

It all went down when part of Interstate 35 was hit in Salado, near Temple.  An over-sized tractor trailer, probably carrying a load too tall, crashed into a support beam of an overpass under construction.

The impact caused other beams to fall, crushing a 32-year-old Arlington man to death.  The victim has been identified as Clark Brandon Davis of Arlington. Others hurt in the crash were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Texas DPS doesn't believe speed was a factor in the crash, but still advise drivers to slow down.
