HOUSTON, Tx - A quick moving fire ripped through a single story home, killing three people. The victims are 36 year-old Donovan Johnson, his 27 year-old, pregnant fiance Tara Miles, and her 3 year-old daughter Jah'niyah Walker.

The fire started soon after ten o'clock Friday. Family members say Johnson was working on a car in the driveway when his daughter ran outside yelling that there was a fire. They say Johnson ran inside the burning home to save his fiance and her child.

By the time firefighters arrived, the family inside the home was in serious danger. Firefighters had trouble reaching the victims because the windows were barred. Once the flames were out, fire crews found the three victims inside. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. Miles and her daughter were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where they later passed away. Miles also had three other children who were staying with their grandmother Friday night. The only survivor of the fire was Johnson's daughter.

Now two families begin a long road to healing.
