HOUSTON, TX - Police say alcohol was definitely a factor in a deadly overnight crash in southwest Houston late Wednesday night.

Around 10:45 p.m., officers say a silver Mazda 6 crossed into oncoming traffic in the intersection of Highway 6 and Briarhills Pkwy., colliding with a white Toyota Camry. The male driver of the Mazda 6 died at the scene and the two passengers of the Camry were taken to the hospital.

Officers say they found an open container in the Mazda, pointing to alcohol as a likely cause.
