SYLHET, BANGLADESH - A Bengali blogger was hacked to death Tuesday morning on his way to work. Four masked men killed Anata Bijoy Das with cleavers in the northeastern city of Sylhet, making him the third person in Bangladesh to die this year for posting criticism of Islam online.

Das was an atheist who wrote for the blog founded by Avijit Roy, another writer who was killed the same way back in February.

In the last two years several bloggers have died in the Southeast Asian country. All three killings this year have happened publicly, although today's incident was early enough for few people to witness.

Protestors are pushing for the government to bring justice to the killers.
