Open carry is here to stay.

State lawmakers approved for licensed handgun owners to openly pack heat on Texas streets. House bill 910 cleared legislature late Friday and is headed to Governor Abbott's desk.
Based on a tweet from his account, it appears the governor's been aiming to sign this bill for quite some time.

The tweet says "Open carry just passed in both the Texas house and Senate. next destination...my pen."

In a state with nearly a million concealed handgun owners, there is one thing Texans can agree on -- change is bound to unload.

The question is, whether or not that is a good thing.
