HOUSTON, TX – A national effort to encourage dialogue about Islam will be on display here in Houston.

The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is putting up 50 billboards in major cities across America, three of which will be featured in Houston. The effort is part of a national educational campaign called #WhoisMuhammad. The goal is to increase understanding about Islam and its prophet Muhammad.

The billboards feature a toll-free number and website that passersby can use to get more information about Islam, including topics such as jihad, terrorism and women’s rights. People can even order a free copy of the Quran.
