SPOKANE, WA - The parents of Rachel Dolezal, president of the NAACP in Spokane and accused of passing herself as black, are calling her out, telling all that the 37-year old is white.

"We are her birth parents, and we do not understand why she feels it's necessary to misrepresent her ethnicity,"  said her father, Lawrence Dolezal.

Her parents say Rachel is Swiss, German, Czech and Native American. Though they adopted four black children, Rachel was not one of those. Said her mother Ruthanne Dolezal, "It seemed like she was doing more of an artistic, expressive representation of her identifying with African-Americans by doing her hair in extensions and things like that."

Apparently Rachel`s deception goes back to her college days when she was awarded a full scholarship from the historically black Howard University. Lawrence Dolezal said, "Eyes were popping, and jaws dropping when she walked in to finalize her registration in person."

THE NAACP said "One's racial identity is not a qualifying criteria or disqualifying standard for NAACP leadership. "
